Von Stauffenberg's plot to assassinate Hitler was a belated attempt to save, from defeat, those who made possible the Nazi regime, that is, the die-hard German military reactionary caste, the true creators of the Nazi dictatorship. In that sense, the coup and terrorist attack against Hitler, were bids to perpetuate the causes of Nazism and its imperialist conquests in the East and, so, an ultra-reactionary and ultra-conservative endeavour to stabilise German war aims. Operation Valkyrie, was an act of 'treachery' from those Nazi and reactionary bureaucrats of a slave regime, that thought Hitler had outlived his usefulness in the hour of his defeat. Later, after Hitler's death, Admiral Karl Dönitz will follow a similar policy by trying to negotiate a separate peace with the Western Allies in the hope of continuing the war against the USSR. It did not work because de Allies, saw through the evil conspiracy and were 'welded' together to the end, as 'socialist' regimes that they had become to win the war. Thus, today's Germany is celebrating the worst of 'Prussian Militarism' and 'Nazi' aggression, when it celebrates 'Valkyrie'...!!!
