Afghan Mining, another Oil Mirage
'Mining', like oil in other countries, could seem a plausible reason for Americans to remain in Afghanistan, however, in a buyer's market, where the technological extraction, processing and utilisation of the mineral resources is in the hands of the 'outside' world, it will be much more economical to adopt a 'hands off' approach in which the 'natives' or 'near-natives' (the Taliban for example), could stabilise and rule the country with relatively less corruption and violence and wait for them to bring their chattels and trappings to the 'only' market there is... as is already done in Algeria, Angola, Venezuela, etc...
Defeat
Trump's mis-administration, defeated in all fronts by a powerful, devious and treacherous oligarchy, will sacrifice more American, NATO and Afghan soldiers, guerrillas and civilians, in the pursuit of a deluded, conservative and reactionary strategy, designed by a lazy and insidious command to protect, not only a spurious military prestige already sullied, but a status quo in Central Asia that only protects Pakistan, China and Russia.
In war, killing is not enough. The shameful tortures, assasinations and bombings carried out by unscrupulous armchair generals, academics, pedants and cretins against the Islamic resistance and many others around the world, has not achieved victory but defeat, all because the putrid oligarchies did not want to attack the sources and wellsprings of terror, rebellion and discontent, the madrasas, tyranny and corruption of Pakistan and its allies, the same sources that they themselves protect and generously subsidise.
Napoleon was defeated in Russia because he did not and will not liberate the Russian serf, ultimately he was another conservative and not a French Revolutionay. America's defeat in Afghanistan stems, essentialy, from the same reasons, she did not and she will not liberate the peoples of the region...!!!
