The defeat in Afghanistan is not only an American defeat. NATO and all its members have been shattered by it, as it has demonstrated that the political and military class of NATO has little qualities.
NATO's generals, including those in the UK, the second contingent, have been destroyed and put in evidence. The weaknesses are enormous and similar to those that Churchill faced with the, mostly, useless British generals in WWII.
France or any other country, has no better political or military elites. They all have been found wanting in a strategic blunder that could, and probably will, destroy the West. Militaries that cannot defend their own borders and only care about woke politics and antics, will not survive Eastern or Southern warriors. Technology will not save the West, as war needs something between your legs and in your head. This Western defeat is an accurate reflection of the total disarray in our societies.
